Care & Cleaning Guide
1. General Care Guidelines
Handle with Care: Our artworks are hand-painted with premium oil and acrylic pigments on high-quality canvas. Always hold the artwork by the frame or stretcher edge with both hands. Avoid gripping the painted surface, pulling corners or applying pressure to prevent paint peeling, creases and canvas deformation.
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Keep artwork away from direct sunlight, UV rays and strong spotlights. Long-term strong light will cause fading and yellowing of pigments. Display paintings in cool, ventilated areas with soft ambient light.
Avoid Extreme Temperatures & Humidity: Keep artwork away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters, fireplaces and air vents. Do not place in humid, damp or poorly ventilated spaces. Sudden environmental changes may cause canvas warping, paint cracking and mold growth.
Prevent Physical Damage: Place artwork away from sharp objects and heavy items. Avoid collision, extrusion, bending or rolling to prevent paint chipping and surface damage.
Regular Dusting: Dust the painting surface every 1–2 weeks. Regular cleaning maintains surface luster and prevents stubborn dust buildup.
2. Daily Cleaning & Storage Instructions
Daily Cleaning: Gently remove surface dust with a soft microfiber cloth, feather duster or soft brush. Wipe lightly along the painting texture without vigorous rubbing or pressing.
Light Stain Cleaning: Remove fingerprints and minor stains with a dry soft cloth. For slight dirt, use a fully wrung damp cotton cloth with pure water only. Wipe gently and air-dry naturally in a cool, ventilated place.
Placement & Storage Notes: Hang paintings on flat and stable walls. Keep away from damp walls to avoid mold growth. Do not attach tapes or adhesives to the painted surface. Lay flat and store in a dry, dust-proof environment when not in use.
3. Prohibited Practices
Forbidden Cleaners & Chemicals: Do not use alcohol, ammonia, bleach, disinfectants, acidic or alkaline detergents, glass cleaner, perfume and other chemical liquids. These chemicals will corrode oil and acrylic pigments, causing fading, discoloration and paint peeling.
Forbidden Tools: Do not use hard brushes, scouring pads, steel wool, sharp blades or rough fabric, which may leave permanent scratches and damage hand-painted details.
Forbidden Behaviors: Do not rinse or soak the painting in water, or expose it to rain and moisture. Avoid frequent hand contact, rolling, folding and squeezing. Do not place in high-temperature, smoky or humid environments.
Forbidden Modification: Do not apply wax, polish or any protective coating without professional guidance, to avoid altering the original hand-painted effect.
